Aloysio Vasconcellos holds a Law and Social Sciences degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, USA. Post graduate work in International Commerce at the University of Paris, Sorbonne, France. Member of the Interamerican Bar Association, Washington, D.C. and the Brazilian Bar Association, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Former Vice President of Citibank N.A. - Brazil / USA where held positions in the Legal, Corporate and Private Banking sectors; Legal and Financial Consultant of Embratel Participações SA, Brazil, and of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Brazilian Navy (CASNAV); Exxon Brazilian Oil Corporation, and Xerox Corporation – Latin American Group, Stamford, USA. Former President of the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida; Director of the Central Florida Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce (BACCF); Member of the Board of Directors of the United Arts of Central Florida; President of the Brazilian Citizens Council of Florida; Director of the Portugal – US Chamber of Commerce, New York; Director of the American Portuguese Society, New York; President of the Rotary Club, Harrison, New York. He is a founder and former President of the Brazilian Business Group (BBG).
Currently, Chairman of Westchester International Corp. and Chairman of the Brazil International Foundation, Florida; Member of the Advisory Board at FAU / Dorothy F. Schmidt School of Arts and Letters, Florida; Member of LASA – Latin American Studies Association; Associate Researcher at UFF - Fluminense Federal University / Institute of Strategic Studies - INEST, Brazil. Speaks English, Portuguese, French and Spanish. Author of several published articles and speaker at universities and symposiums in Brazil, USA and Europe, covering business, trade, and international relations with emphasis in the integration between the Brazilian diasporas abroad and the Continental Brazil.
